Project Specialist
Job description
Who we are?
At VEMO, we are an electromobility company driven by its people and technology, integrating the entire clean mobility ecosystem for Mexico and Latin America. Our mission is to accelerate the adoption of clean mobility solutions, improving urban quality of life, preserving the environment, and generating high-impact sustainable employment.
We are committed to responsible, clean, and intelligent mobility!
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who can ensure our operation can grow without the structure growing in the same proportion. Someone who knows how to identify where the operations team's time is being spent, design and measure pilot tests with rigor, and scale only what demonstrates real results to the five CDMX HUBs. This is a role that builds standards, automates upon already ordered processes (Samsara, PowerApps, Power Automate), and is accountable for realized benefits, not just for the launch.
What will be your mission?
To ensure VEMO's operation grows without the structure growing at the same pace. You will build the portfolio of initiatives that free up operational hours for the team, validate them with well-designed pilots, scale them to the five HUBs when data supports it, and have the playbook ready so that opening a new HUB becomes faster and more predictable.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Identify and quantify where the operations team's and supervision layer's time is consumed, and build the portfolio of initiatives that frees it up.
- Design, run, and measure pilot tests with success criteria, baseline, and control group when applicable.
- Scale only what the pilot demonstrated to the five HUBs, and discontinue what did not work.
- Deploy automation and digital tools upon already standardized processes (Samsara, PowerApps, Power Automate, and other platforms the operation requires).
- Build the business case for each initiative: investment, hours freed up, impact on KPIs, and payback period.
- Lead the change management for each deployment: training, materials, on-site support, and adoption verification.
- Prepare the model for opening a new HUB: startup playbook, staffing, load capacity, and maturation curve.
- Coordinate with Product and Technology on backlog prioritization that affects HUB operations.
- Track the portfolio with cadence, escalating deviations in scope, time, or benefit.
- Measure the realized benefit post-deployment and be accountable for its sustainability, not just for the launch.
Requirements:
- Academic background: Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Operations Administration, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Desirable: Specialization or diploma in project management, digital transformation, or operational innovation; PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years in strategic projects, operational transformation, consulting, or BizOps.
- Proven experience managing a pilot from design to multi-site deployment.
- Experience in mobility operations, logistics, last mile, or supply chain.
- Experience building business cases and measuring realized benefit.
- Experience working directly in the field.
Key Skills:
Technical: Project and portfolio management · Pilot design (baseline, success criteria, control group) · Change management and multi-site deployment · Automation (PowerApps, Power Automate, Samsara, or similar) · Business case construction and cost-benefit analysis · Process mapping and redesign · Lean and continuous improvement fundamentals · Advanced Excel · Power BI.
VEMO Mindset: Ownership · Results orientation · Analytical thinking · Field execution · Problem-solving · Influence without authority · Adaptability · Effective communication · Sense of urgency · Continuous improvement.
