Position: Bilingual Freight Forwarding Specialist (Portuguese – Chinese)

Position Description:

• Act as the interface between clients, international agents, airlines, shipping lines, and logistics partners in Brazil and China.
• Conduct communication and negotiations in Portuguese and Mandarin, ensuring the correct transmission of operational and commercial information.
• Coordinate import and export processes in air, sea, and road transportation modes.
• Request and analyze international freight quotes, negotiating transit times, costs, and transportation conditions.
• Track shipments from origin to final delivery, monitoring and following up on cargo.
• Prepare, review, and translate documents related to foreign trade and international transportation, such as Invoice, Packing List, BL (Bill of Lading), AWB (Air Waybill), and other operational documents.
• Maintain continuous contact with suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, terminals, ports, and airports in Brazil and China.
• Participate in meetings with clients and partners, providing bilingual support and preparing minutes, reports, and presentations.
• Identify and resolve operational incidents, ensuring compliance with agreed deadlines and customer satisfaction.
• Provide periodic updates on shipment status, keeping clients informed throughout all stages of the process.
• Support in preparing proposals and developing new business.
• Ensure compliance with customs legislation, internal procedures, and foreign trade requirements.
• Prepare indicators and management reports to monitor the performance of logistics operations.
• Promote integration between Brazilian and Chinese teams, contributing to process standardization and operational efficiency.
• Provide support during visits of clients, suppliers, and Chinese executives, including consecutive translation and operational accompaniment.

Requirements and qualifications

• Completed higher education in Foreign Trade, Logistics, Business Administration, International Relations, or related fields.
• Experience in freight forwarding and international logistics.
• Knowledge of import and export processes.
• Knowledge of Incoterms and international transportation documentation.
• Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• Fluency in Mandarin and Portuguese (spoken, written, and reading).
