ESHS Technician

Job Summary: The Environmental, Safety, Health and Security (ESHS) Technician is responsible for supporting the ESHS programs and policies at the facility level, including, but not limited to, the implementation of ESHS programs, compliance with regulatory requirements, incident investigation, training, and hazard recognition and control. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: * Assist in the development and implementation of ESHS programs and procedures. * Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations. * Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions. * Provide ESHS training to employees and contractors. * Maintain ESHS records and documentation. * Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of ESHS programs. * Assist with emergency response planning and drills. * Participate in safety meetings and committees. * Stay up-to-date on ESHS regulations and best practices. * Support the implementation of the Xylem Watermark program. * Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * 3+ years of experience in ESHS or a related field. * Working knowledge of ESHS regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA). * Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications: * Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in ESHS or a related field. * Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM). * Experience in a manufacturing environment. * Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis. * Experience with developing and delivering training.
