Te tūnga | The role We have an exciting full-time permanent opportunity for a talented and highly experienced individual to join the PHF Science whanau and lead our Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). This is a senior role within New Zealand’s public research organisation responsible for providing the critical science infrastructure for public health and forensics. As the EPMO Manager, you’ll be accountable for the overall leadership, management and strategic direction of the EPMO. You will provide guidance and support to project managers, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies and tools, as well as excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation, including scientists, researchers, and other support staff. Key responsibilities include: • Providing strategic direction for EPMO and ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives; • Developing and implementing project management processes and procedures; • Leading and managing a team of project managers and coordinators; • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and prioritise projects; • Ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle; • Monitoring and reporting on project progress, risks and issues; • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes as needed.
