Environmental Policy Analyst

We’re looking for an experienced Environmental Policy Analyst who is passionate about shaping smart water strategies and wants to be part of a team that’s driving real change, You’ll join our Planning, Strategy and Programming team, where ideas flow freely, and flexibility is part of the culture.

In this role, you’ll keep a close eye on external policy and legislation and help us stay ahead of the curve by improving internal strategies, policies, bylaws and processes. You’ll work closely with iwi partners and key stakeholders to make sure our water strategies are aligned with Council’s big-picture goals. You’ll also lend your project management and planning skills to support resource consent applications for water activities like wastewater treatment and water abstraction.

No two days are the same…. you might be out chatting with stakeholders, writing up reports and submissions, or presenting your insights to elected members.
