As a Danaher operating company, IDT is part of a global network of science and technology innovators. **Job Summary:** The Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs and procedures at IDT facilities. This role ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and company policies. The EHS Specialist will work closely with various departments to identify and mitigate potential hazards, promote a culture of safety, and continuously improve EHS performance. **What you’ll do:** * Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and procedures, including but not limited to hazard communication, injury and illness prevention, emergency response, and waste management. * Conduct regular inspections and audits of IDT facilities and operations to identify hazards and ensure compliance with EHS regulations and company policies. * Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence. * Provide EHS training to employees, including new hire orientation, job-specific training, and refresher courses. * Maintain and update EHS records, including training records, inspection reports, and incident reports. * Monitor and analyze EHS performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement. * Collaborate with other departments to integrate EHS into daily operations. * Manage waste streams, ensuring proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. * Stay up-to-date on EHS regulations and industry best practices. * Assist with the development and implementation of environmental sustainability initiatives. * Participate in safety committees and other EHS-related meetings. **Education and Experience:** * Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. * 5+ years of experience in EHS, preferably in a manufacturing or laboratory environment. * Comprehensive knowledge of EHS regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations. * Experience conducting EHS inspections, audits, and investigations. * Strong understanding of hazard identification and risk assessment methodologies. * Experience developing and delivering EHS training programs. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. * EHS certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM preferred. **What we offer:** * Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance * Paid Time Off * Paid Holidays * 401(k) with Company Match * Life Insurance * Short and Long Term Disability * Tuition Reimbursement * Career Advancement Opportunities At IDT, we believe in fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
