Job description

Company: Mitsubishi Chemical Methacrylates Singapore Pte. Ltd. Job Description: Purpose : To support the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager in the planning, execution and continuous improvement of the EHS and security management system. This role ensures compliance with Singapore's legislation, corporate standards, and other requirements in all aspects of work and to achieve business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Ensure that all workplace environment, health and safety (EHS) & Security activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements, company standards, and best practices. Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS and security programs, procedures, and training. Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure effective control measures are in place. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Monitor and analyze EHS performance data, and prepare reports for management review. Provide support to EHS Manager in emergency response planning and drills. Participate in safety committee meetings and promote a positive safety culture. Manage and maintain EHS records and documentation accurately. Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and employees, on EHS matters. Support and promote environmental sustainability initiatives. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, occupational health and safety, or engineering. At least 3 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of Singapore's EHS regulations and standards. Knowledge in Process Safety Management (PSM) is preferred. Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and audits. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Good organizational and time management skills. Certification in relevant EHS areas (e.g., WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health) is an advantage. Benefits: Competitive salary.
