Development Engineer (m/w/d) for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) with Focus: Mechanical and Electrical Construction

Tasks
Your tasks as Development Engineer:
- You develop and construct mechanical structures for our unmanned aerial systems (UAS), from frames and housings to payload and ground systems.
- You integrate electrical components like propulsion, sensorics, and avionics hardware and ensure the functional alignment between mechanics and electronics.
- You are responsible for the structural and stability design of the systems and accompany prototype construction, testing, and commissioning.
- You create CAD models, technical drawings, parts lists and maintain documentation of the current system status.
- You work closely with software-, test- and production teams, supports technical verifications and ensures compliance with requirements.
Qualification
You bring:
- You have a completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Technology or comparable.
- You have experience in mechanical construction, ideally in lightweight construction or UAV environment with
- You bring practical experience in rapid prototyping and system integration with
- You possess basic knowledge of electrical construction, wiring, and electrical safety and work safely with CAD tools like SolidWorks, CATIA, Fusion 360 or comparable programs.
- You possess very good German and English skills.
