Development Engineer (m/w/d) Biosensors in Mannheim (1701)

With BRÜGGEN ENGINEERING, you develop innovative biosensors for patient-near analysis systems. You combine scientific methods with practical development work and accompany test series from conception to evaluation and presentation of the results.

Tasks

• Biosensors: You develop innovative biosensors regarding their design and function for Near-Patient-Care-Systems.
• Sensor layouts: You work out suitable sensor layouts using modern manufacturing processes and electrochemical characterization methods.
• Test concepts: You create concepts for testing the biosensors and plan the corresponding test series.
• Test execution: You oversee experimental investigations and ensure a structured execution.
• Data analysis: You evaluate the acquired measurement data and prepare the results in a comprehensible manner.
• Presentation: You document and present the test results within the project team.

Qualification

• Qualification: You hold a completed Master's or Diploma degree in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Microsystem Technology, or a comparable field. A Ph.D. is advantageous.
• Biosensorics: You bring knowledge and practical experience in the production or characterization of biosensors.
• Electrochemistry: You have experience with electrochemical methods and measurement techniques.
• Data analysis: You possess statistical knowledge and experience in evaluating and preparing measurement data, for example, using JMP or MATLAB.
• Work style: You work independently, goal-oriented, and with high commitment and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary questions.
• Communication: You convince through team ability, communication strength, and very good English skills in both spoken and written form.
