Development Engineer Construction (m/w/d)

This is Your Task Area

You develop our products further and invent them anew. You always have the goal of producing safe and innovative endoprostheses and contribute to the production of patient quality.

• You develop and construct our products and take over all steps in a defined, structured development process – from idea to series-ready product
• You create and maintain technical drawings, 3D models, and construction documents and ensure that these comply with relevant standards
• You significantly contribute to mechanical designs, prototypes, functional patterns, validation, and verification processes with
• You implement construction changes, test technical requirements, and accompany tests, inspections, and improvement measures
• You create technical documentation and work on implementing relevant regulatory requirements (e.g. CE, harmonized standards, RL 93/42/EWG or MDR) with
• You work closely with doctors, product management, production, and quality management together and take over the communicative interface function in international development projects

This brings you

• Educational background: Completed engineering degree (mechanical engineering, medical technology) or comparable program
• Professional experience: Several years of experience in construction, development, and documentation in the medical technology sector (preferably from joint implants and instruments), alternatively professional experience in constructing and developing complex components
• Expertise:
  • Very good 3D-CAD skills (preferably Siemens NX)
  • Knowledge of working in a PLM system (preferably Teamcenter)
  • Good biomechanical knowledge, as well as corresponding product knowledge is advantageous
  • Project management experience in complex development projects is desirable
• Motivation: You have the desire to engage with high-quality, bio-harmonious, and innovative products in endoprosthetics
• Soft skills:
  • You have a willingness to dive deep and want to understand connections, causes, and interactions precisely, so that this knowledge can flow into your work
  • You communicate openly and gladly – working in interdisciplinary teams brings you joy
