Developer (m/w/d) - RPG-Knowledge

We are looking for an IT expert to join our team at a wholesale company with a location in Werne. The AS/400 (IBM i) has been the stable backbone of the company for years – individually, reliable, and perfectly tailored to the processes. Now, the company wants to take the next step together with you: modern, agile software development on a proven platform.

As Developer (m/w/d) with RPG-Knowledge, you will support the team in optimizing the ERP system. Together, you can bring the software to a new level and further develop the IT landscape.

Tasks

• You are responsible for the further development and maintenance of the ERP system.
• You analyze, optimize, and design processes and integrate new technologies.
• You implement requirements in modern ILE RPG and support modernization.
• You work in interdisciplinary project teams – close to practice and with plenty of room for creativity.

Qualification

• First professional experience as an RPG developer or programmer.

• Degree or training in the field of IT, for example:

• Fachinformatiker/in for application development

• Economic computer scientist

• Computer scientist

• Application developer

• Junior IT application developer

• Software Developer (m/w/d)

• Pleasant knowledge of additional programming languages, for example C#, Python, PHP.

• Very good German language skills (at least C1) and good English language skills (at least B2).
