Enterprise Data Architect - Banking

Overview We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to lead the design, build, and governance of enterprise data platforms supporting Commercial & Corporate Banking, with a strong focus on AML, financial crime, and regulatory data. This role spans multiple APAC markets and requires a hands-on architect who can drive end-to-end delivery, from greenfield builds to operationalisation. Key Responsibilities Data Architecture & Platform Design Architect and implement Data Lakehouse solutions that integrate with existing systems, leveraging cloud-based technologies such as AWS or Azure. Develop and maintain data architecture blueprints, data flow diagrams, and data governance policies. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements and develop data-driven solutions. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including AML and financial crime regulations. Lead the design and implementation of data pipelines, data warehousing, and big data analytics capabilities. Drive the development of data quality, data security, and data integrity standards. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and external partners. Provide thought leadership on emerging trends in data architecture, data governance, and data science. Key Requirements Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data governance, and data quality. Experience in designing and implementing Data Lakehouse solutions using cloud-based technologies such as AWS or Azure. Proven track record of delivering complex data projects from greenfield builds to operationalisation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work effectively across multiple APAC markets, cultures, and time zones. Certification in data architecture, data governance, or related field is desirable.
