Job description
In your daily work, you provide orientation in complex system landscapes. You ensure that business requirements, processes, data, and technologies fit together across departments. You moderate between business departments, IT, and management, make dependencies transparent, and develop viable target visions for the enterprise architecture. You always keep the end-to-end view in mind and ensure that strategic architectural decisions are also effective in the operational environment.
Tasks
- The focus of the role is on enterprise architecture and explicitly not on operational or executive implementation.
- You take an overarching view of the end-to-end consistency of processes, systems, and information in a manufacturing SME environment.
- You connect functional requirements with a consistent architecture at the business, data, and technology levels.
- You develop lean, realistically implementable target architectures, provide technical support for their implementation, and drive their continuous further development – always with an eye on cost-benefit, scalability, and maintainability.
- You analyze and structure requirements from the business departments and translate them into robust architectural solutions that fit the company's strategy and the resources of an SME.
- A significant part of the role is communication with various stakeholders – from C-level to business departments.
Profile
- Bring well-founded experience in the design, implementation, and further development of enterprise architectures, ideally in a regulated, manufacturing environment.
- Have methodological knowledge based on TOGAF or comparable architecture standards.
- Possess a good end-to-end understanding of industrial system landscapes, ideally in the interplay of ERP, MES, and WMS.
- Have experience with MES architectures in the context of ISA-95.
- Are familiar with relevant security aspects in software and hardware landscapes and consider them in your architectural decisions.
- Are able to communicate complex technical interrelationships understandably and prepare decisions in such a way that management and business departments can support them.
