They are a 360-bed facility and their services provided include Cardiology, Renal, Gastroenterology, Haematology-Oncology, Rheumatology, Neurology, Respiratory Medicine, Infectious Diseases, General Medicine, Surgery, Anaesthetics, Intensive Care, Emergency Department, Paediatrics, Neonatology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology. They also have a range of specialist services including ENT, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Urology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Neonatal Intensive Care and Perinatal Services. The hospital has a strong focus on research and education with a number of research programs and collaborations with the University of Tasmania. They also have a range of community-based services including Community Health, Public Health, Mental Health, Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care.
