English Teacher (GCSE & Functional Skills) Location: Based at a further education campus in York Pay: £25 – 30 per hour 12.07% holiday pay Contract Type: Temporary, full time Think FE are working on behalf of a well-regarded further education setting in the York area to recruit a dedicated and experienced English Teacher. This is a temporary teaching role focusing on the delivery of GCSE and Functional Skills English to post-16 learners. Who are we looking for? The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering GCSE and Functional Skills English to post-16 learners, including lesson planning, teaching, and assessment. What are the essential requirements for the role? The ideal candidate will have a degree in English or a related subject, and a teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent). They will also have experience of teaching GCSE and Functional Skills English to post-16 learners, and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment requirements. What are the desirable requirements for the role? The ideal candidate will also have experience of using digital tools and resources to support teaching and learning, and be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to student welfare and well-being.
