Engineering Team Leader

Position A Team Leader is responsible for all the work of a team and the spokesperson for everyone in it. They are expected to manage team dynamics, help others become the best version of themselves, and gear the team towards optimized execution. Key Responsibilities Manage a small product team of 3-5 engineers (backend and frontend). Spend 30% of the time on management work and actively participate in product development. Lead hiring processes for the team and assist peers in hiring. Own onboarding process for new hires. Participate in architectural discussions and guide the team in making architectural decisions. Facilitate technical discussions and knowledge sharing. Take ownership of the team's OKRs and roadmap, and proactively drive the team towards achieving its goals. Be the point of contact for the team and represent their work to other teams. Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members. Identify and remove blockers for the team. Qualifications 5+ years of software engineering experience. 1+ years of experience leading a software engineering team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with agile development methodologies. Experience with product development and understanding of product lifecycles. Experience with backend and frontend technologies.
