Engineering Team Lead Java

We are looking for an Engineering Team Lead (Java) who combines strong technical competencies with team management experience. This role is for someone who still enjoys programming, participating in solution design, and supporting the team technically. We are not looking solely for a manager. We are looking for a leader who can develop people while remaining an active engineer and a partner in discussions about architecture and software quality. You will be responsible for: - Leading a team of programmers working with Java technology - Active participation in system design and development – this is still a hands-on role - Making architectural decisions and ensuring high code quality - Collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, and other technology teams - Planning work and executing the product roadmap - Identifying risks, dependencies, and improving the software delivery process - Mentoring, coaching, and developing team members - Conducting 1:1 meetings, providing feedback, and supporting engineers' career development - Participating in recruitment and building a strong team. We are looking for someone who possesses: - Several years of experience as a Senior Java Developer, Tech Lead, or Engineering Team Lead - Experience in managing a development team - Very good knowledge of Java and Spring / Spring Boot - Experience in designing and developing distributed systems and web applications - Practical knowledge of microservices architecture - Experience with cloud solutions (AWS) - Good knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes - Experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases - Ability to make technical decisions and conduct architectural discussions - Experience working in an Agile environment - Very good command of English and Polish.
