About the Position Â
We're seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team shaping the next generation of learning, tutoring, and student success products. In this role, you'll balance hands-on technical leadership with people management, driving both the execution of critical features and the evolution of engineering practices that enable your team to deliver with greater velocity and quality.Â
This is a unique opportunity to make an immediate impact as we scale our engineering organization. You'll lead a team of 3-6 engineers, contributing directly to code and architecture while coaching your team to grow their skills and adopt modern development practices. The ideal candidate is passionate about continuous improvementâwhether that's improving the design of our products or streamlining our processes. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of 3-6 engineers
- Contribute directly to code and architecture
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement
- Coach and mentor team members to grow their skills and adopt modern development practices
- Drive the execution of critical features and the evolution of engineering practices that enable your team to deliver with greater velocity and quality
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- At least 5 years of experience as an Engineering Manager or similar role
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams
- Strong technical skills, with hands-on experience in software development
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
