Engineering Manager - Sport Process - Worldwide Offer (f/m/d)

The Worldwide Offer team is recruiting its future Engineering Manager in Lille!

At the heart of the Digital Sport unit, in direct relation with Decathlon's various sports brands (Kipsta, Domyos, Quechua, ...) and the CoE Offer, the Sport Process Domain implements products and methods that allow each user manager, each country, each team to identify, choose, create, and co-develop the best products for our athletes. 

Within this ecosystem, the Worldwide Offer team enables Sports to imagine the best possible sports product and service offerings. 

From market knowledge guiding the definition of sports architecture to the referencing and management of the Worldwide Offer, our digital solutions are the true engine of product innovation at Decathlon.

YOUR FUTURE CONTRIBUTION HELP THE CANDIDATE PICTURE THEMSELVES IN THE DECATHLON ENVIRONMENT

You will be responsible for the hierarchical management of 3 feature teams, totaling 12 Software Engineers. 

You will collaborate closely with Product, Data & AI, and Design departments to arbitrate between business stakes and technical feasibility. 

Your role: grow employees, build the team's human plan, manage the delivery of the 2027 roadmaps, ensure data quality for a global system, and bring new digital solutions that will transform the daily lives of sports: market knowledge, offer catalog, product usage definition, co-creation platform.

You will be the guarantor of the consistency of technical choices with Decathlon's Worldwide Offer strategy while optimizing the performance and collaboration of your team.

TECHNICAL STACK

• Frameworks (full stack): Java Spring Boot, NodeJS, PHP Symfony, ReactJS
• Architecture: Event-Driven (Kafka, Kafka Streams, Outbox pattern).
• Cloud & Ops: Kubernetes, Postgres, Helm, Datadog.
• Testing & Cypress, Amplitude.

WHAT YOU BRING 

You have a solid foundation in software engineering and you already have experience in technical and human leadership. 

As an expert in delivery management, you know how to create roadmaps and influence your stakeholders. 

You excel in supporting career paths (coaching, feedback) and you have a real business sense to align technology with the growth KPIs of a global product.

You have a strong sense of service, you know how to engage your teams and celebrate victories, you possess strong soft skills to enable the Digital Offer collective to perform!
