Engineering Manager - Embedded Linux Systems @ Xperi

Who we are looking for: Hands-on experience managing a team and leading projects hands-on from start to finish 8 years of experience in engineering role, with 2 years in a leadership capacity Experience in building applications for Linux-based operating system (ideally for embedded systems) and Linux kernel customization Deep knowledge of SW design patterns, architectures, and best practices Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and practices in software development and testing Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies and version control systems like Git Knowledge of Linux-based operating systems such as Android, Yocto Project, or other embedded Linux distributions Experience with debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems Proficiency in C, C++, Python, or other programming languages used in the field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines Ability to lead by example, motivate team members, and provide constructive feedback Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet project timelines Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities Experience working in an Agile development environment Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines Knowledge of Linux kernel modules, device drivers, and system programming Understanding of embedded systems architecture, including hardware-software interactions and real-time operating systems
