Engineering Lead Java

For our Client, we are looking for an experienced Engineering Lead who will take responsibility for the development of an engineering team creating modern solutions for the e-commerce and digital payments area. This is a role that combines team management, collaboration with the business, and influence on architectural and technological decisions. We are looking for a person who can effectively develop people, build engaged teams, and support the delivery of high-quality technological solutions. Scope of Responsibilities * Management and development of a team of Backend and Fullstack Engineers. * Building a culture of collaboration, responsibility, and high quality of delivered solutions. * Planning and execution of the product roadmap in cooperation with Product Managers and stakeholders. * Supporting the team in making architectural and technological decisions. * Oversight of programming standards, security, and code quality. * Ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of the developed systems. * Effective collaboration with product and technology teams in an international environment. Requirements Must have: * Senior-level experience in software development. * Very good knowledge of Java technologies. * Experience in team management. * Experience in project management or delivery management. * Experience working with public cloud (especially AWS and/or GCP) and cloud migrations. * Knowledge of system design issues and modern engineering practices. * Experience in building teams and leading organizational changes. * Task-orientation and ability to make decisions from a business perspective. * Very good communication and organizational skills. * Very good command of English (minimum B2+). Nice to have: * Experience in DevOps and CI/CD areas and knowledge of security issues.
