Engineering Director: Cloud DB Architect (Multi-Cloud)

United States Digital Space LLC is looking for a Senior Staff Engineer/Engineering Director in Singapore. The role involves designing and managing enterprise-level cloud database platforms, specifically for Alibaba Cloud and AWS. Responsibilities include optimizing database performance, ensuring security compliance, and managing a team of DBAs. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in cloud database management and a strong background in engineering leadership, contributing to the company's growth and success. Key responsibilities: • Designing and implementing cloud-based database solutions for large-scale enterprise clients; • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data warehousing strategies; • Developing and maintaining technical documentation for cloud-based database platforms; • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and DBAs; • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in cloud database management. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; • At least 8 years of experience in cloud database management, with a focus on Alibaba Cloud and AWS; • Strong understanding of cloud-based database platforms, including data warehousing, ETL, and big data analytics; • Experience managing and leading teams of DBAs and engineers; • Excellent communication and leadership skills; • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
