Job description

A leading New Zealand crane, construction and heavy-lift contractor is looking for an experienced Engineering & Contracts Manager to step into a senior leadership role. This position will suit someone who enjoys a mix of business development, client management, engineering oversight, and end-to-end project delivery.

You will be responsible for:

Managing tenders, contract negotiations and commercial terms for major projects
Leading project delivery across wind-farm, heavy-lift and infrastructure installations
Building and maintaining client relationships, driving repeat business and growth
Identifying and securing new project opportunities in the wind and renewables sector
Providing engineering input and coordinating with internal technical teams
Supporting senior leadership with strategy, planning and resource allocation

About You

Background in wind energy, heavy cranes, heavy-lift, transport, construction, or civil infrastructure
Strong experience in contracts management, negotiation and commercial project delivery
Confident managing complex, high-risk projects and multiple stakeholders
Strong communication, leadership skills and a proactive approach to client management
Able to be based in Christchurch — relocation support available for the right person
