Mission:

Achieve customer satisfaction through continuous improvement of the plant's production processes and adherence to the quality system, reducing waste to a minimum, through leadership in the work team and with members of other departments. Coordinate efforts to achieve a quality product in accordance with our customers' specifications, meeting their expectations, promoting self-control in the processes, complying with the quality systems established by Antolín Saltillo.

Responsibilities:

  • Document, administer, and implement engineering changes.
  • Performs feasibility of the requested change and defines the risk level with the team's support.
  • Coordinates with the commercial area for the quotation of the change (provides necessary information).
  • Defines together with the logistics department if obsolete material will be generated at the time of implementing the change.
  • Develops specific documentation for each client to request the engineering change.
  • Administers and validates the update of all documentation inherent to the change by all departments.
  • Ensures the validation of changes through process qualification and capability.
  • Executes capacity studies in case the change demands it.
  • Ensures the sending and approval of first samples to the final customer for the approval of the change.
  • Manages location changes in conjunction with the originating or destination company.
  • Participates in supplier changes directed by purchasing and ensures that the internal change management process is executed.
  • Responsible for responding to corrective actions that fall within their job functions.
  • Maintains updated engineering levels of assigned programs, for finished product, WIP, and purchased components (in the Master List and ZPN1 in SAP).
  • Coordinates the insourcing of molds when applicable.
  • Tracks the useful life of molds and manages with the commercial area or the client the refurbishment/replacement of tooling when applicable.
  • Manages the introduction of new molds through the engineering change process.

What we are looking for:

  • Industrial engineer or similar or related career.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience as a Quality Engineer in the Automotive Industry.
  • At least 1 year of experience with BMW/ Honda/FORD/Nissan.
  • AMEF knowledge.
  • SAP.
  • 8D Problem Solving.
  • Immediate response to emerging situations in the Engineering Area.
  • Knowledge on assembly, injection, and pressing processes.
  • Molding Experience.
  • Conversational English.
