Engineering and New Projects Engineer

Job description

Job Summary:

Responsible for the process of Change Administration, whether engineering and/or process changes that affect "Post-Launch" programs at the Aguascalientes plant. Local support for new launches prior to SOP.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Participate and lead CFT meetings.
  2. Follow-up and receipt of special parts. Follow-up on prototype samples.
  3. PTRs & Special Builds.
  4. Engineering change coordination.

Specific Tasks:

  1. Direct and coordinate design and process changes with Bosch associates and customers.
  2. Direct and coordinate design and process changes with Bosch suppliers/sub-suppliers.
  3. Participate in RT meetings and participate with the manager/initiator in creating and approving the corresponding ECR.
  4. Assign tasks and dates for each change, as well as individual follow-up on each assigned task and react if the action is not completed on time.
  5. Develop and maintain a database and/or documentation related to engineering change administration.
  6. Schedule and attend required meetings to ensure good tracking and feedback on the status of each change.
  7. Coordinate with engineering (AguP and Ply) to schedule test groups for efficient resource utilization.
  8. Coordinate with QMM1, Sales, and Application Engineers to issue documents for customer approval of proposed changes.
  9. Train associates in the process, tools, and procedures for engineering change administration.
  10. Generate and maintain updated metrics defined for this process.
  11. Coordinate with different departments to have required documentation for the quality management system before introducing an engineering change or client event for new launches.
  12. Participate as a team to solve problems.
  13. Leadership in 8 D's when necessary.
  14. Support in internal and external audits related to change management.
  15. Effectively participate and contribute to multiple interdisciplinary groups to deploy policies and goals at the plant.
  16. Other tasks requested by PJM-MOE management.

Skills, Experience, and Knowledge:

- Leadership of multidisciplinary CFT teams (competencies in leadership).

- Character, stability, and attitude.

- Teamwork, proactivity, and drive.

- Time management.

- Outgoing person with ease in generating personal relationships.

- Knowledge of warehouse/packaging.

- Knowledge of production processes, 5's, knowledge of the product.

- Quality systems

- SAP, cyclic counts, physical inventory
