Job description
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end Test Hardware Development Flow, including design specification, implementation, review, sign-off, debugging, troubleshooting, and follow-up support for Automotive Microcontroller Testing.
- Design both Production Test Hardware (e.g. Probecard, Loadboard, Burn-in Board) and Characterization Test Hardware.
- Ensure On-Time Delivery (OTD) and First-Time-Right (FTR) of all Test Hardware deliverables.
- Optimize Test Hardware for cost-effectiveness while maintaining high performance and reliability.
- Develop and innovate methodologies to improve Test Hardware design efficiency and collaborate with design and manufacturing suppliers to reduce costs and lead times.
- Work closely with Test Engineers and Test Concept Engineers to define and refine Test Hardware specifications.
- Translate design requirements into detailed specifications for hardware manufacturers and prepare electrical schematics using EDA (Electronic Design Automation) software.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical & Electronic Engineering; preferably 3+ years in product/test engineering (hands‑on ATE test hardware design is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of ATE platforms (e.g., Advantest 93K, UltraFLEX, ETS, J750) and associated instruments.
- Familiar with the ATE Test Hardware Development Workflow, including Probecard and Loadboard design.
- Proficient in Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), high‑speed digital, and high‑voltage test hardware design (simulation and thermal/mechanical know‑how is advantageous).
- Hands‑on experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Cadence Allegro or similar).
- Good understanding of IC development and production processes (design/test/validation, wafer processing, production test, quality/reliability, yield).
- Hands‑on ATE test programming (e.g., Advantest 93K), proficiency with UNIX, MS Office, and programming languages such as Python/C++; exposure to AI tools is a plus; strong analytical/problem‑solving/communication skills and an innovation mindset.
- Proven experience in ATE Test Hardware design, review, sign‑off, and buy‑off (e.g., Probecard and Loadboard).
- Hands‑on experience with automotive SoC microcontrollers and their applications.
- Active participation in first silicon (Si) bring‑up, debugging, and test time improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross‑functional teams.
- Independent, resourceful, and proactive, with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills across diverse technical backgrounds.
- Highly motivated team player with a strong drive to excel and a collaborative, results‑oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of machine learning or AI techniques applied to Test Hardware development is a plus; proficiency in English (verbal and written) is required.
