Your role as Engineer Level 1 at the Royal Netherlands Air Force

As an Engineer Level 1 within the Aircraft System-Related Workshop Equipment, you provide technical input for various new needs, modifications, and additional requirements. You write, translate, improve, and modify preventive maintenance plans in SAP. Additionally, you analyze quality reports and implement improvements in the maintenance process. You collaborate with Supply Chain Management to forecast material needs and maintenance intervals. You also coordinate with Procurement regarding the correct contracts for outsourced maintenance and new requirements.

You report to the Head of Engineering & Maintenance on the quality, completeness, and accuracy of your technical analyses and advice. In your work, you apply (inter)national regulations, defense and technical regulations, operational orders, quality handbooks, and other guidelines. Within the defined constraints, you make decisions regarding the content of analyses, advice, and measures to be taken. This may pertain to project setup and execution, and to the adaptation of standards and maintenance procedures.

The biggest challenge in this role is that you are a real linchpin. To ensure the proper sustainment of the package you are responsible for, you need various disciplines. You will work with departments such as Procurement, Chain Logistics, Standards Officers, Requirements Officers, Demand and Supply Managers, and team members.

• You have a proactive attitude;
• You possess a customer and service-oriented approach.
