Job description
You will take on the comprehensive responsibility for dimensional quality in a high-precision manufacturing environment – from KMG program development to overall measurement strategy. At the interface of measurement technology, manufacturing technology, and supplier quality, you ensure that complex high-tech components meet tight geometric tolerances. You translate CAD-based test concepts into robust, automated measurement programs and actively drive the continuous improvement process in manufacturing and along the supply chain forward.
Tasks
- You are responsible for offline creation and optimization of KMG measurement programs (Mitutoyo) based on CAD models.
- You conduct tactile and scanning 3D measurements and ensure that operators can perform these measurements correctly and independently.
- You accompany deviation and improvement processes and provide measurement and process support in your own manufacturing and at suppliers.
- You promote teamwork and experience exchange in measurement and manufacturing technology across all areas.
- You support the introduction of new products, create product-specific manufacturing test plans, and conduct first measurements.
- You apply statistical methods (SPC) using suitable tools and software (Q-DAS) to control and continuously improve manufacturing processes
Qualification
- Multiple years of experience in coordinate measurement technology and KMG programming, ideally on Mitutoyo systems, including optical inspection systems.
- Safe reading of technical drawings with form and position tolerances (GD&T)
- Techical basic training and practical experience in machining as well as material knowledge, particularly aluminum and chromium steel
- Excellent knowledge in mathematics, descriptive geometry, and spatial imagination
- Good knowledge of relevant measurement standards; further education in the area of ISO GPS is advantageous
- Excellent teamwork ability and cross-sectional collaboration; very good German language skills, good English language skills
- High degree of self-reliance as well as technical support and guidance from KMG operators
- Experience in the area of Model Based Definition (MBD) is advantageous
