Job description
The Engineer – Collaboration Services Platform Specialist is a strategic technical role within the Digital Workplace Platforms team, focused on advancing collaboration technologies across Cummins. This role will define, build, and communicate technical and architectural vision for the Collaboration Services Platform to ensure systems and solutions are fit for purpose and meet business requirements. Working closely with the Platform Manager and other team members to ensure ongoing modernization of the platform, including integration with existing systems, development of new features, and continuous improvement of the overall user experience. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of collaboration technologies, software development life cycles, and agile methodologies. Key responsibilities include: • Developing technical and architectural designs for the Collaboration Services Platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology roadmaps. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize platform enhancements, features, and bug fixes. • Designing, developing, testing, and deploying software solutions that meet business requirements and user needs. • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members. • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in collaboration platforms and software development. • Participating in the development of platform roadmaps, technology strategies, and innovation initiatives.
