  • About the position

    We are looking for a highly qualified Structuring Data Engineer to work in an education sector company. The professional will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and architectures, ensuring scalability, governance, and performance to support critical analytical and regulatory processes.

    Main responsibilities
    • Design and implement efficient, secure, and scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
    • Develop data models and transformations using BigQuery and DBT (Data Build Tool).
    • Ensure integration between legacy systems (Oracle, PowerCenter) and the cloud ecosystem.
    • Structure data for analytical consumption, compliance, and regulatory requirements in the financial sector.
    • Define and apply good practices of data governance, versioning, and automation of deploys.
    • Collaborate with business, BI, and Analytics teams to support strategic and regulatory demands.
    • Perform diagnostics and performance optimizations in ETL/ELT processes.
    Tech requirements
    • Solid experience in Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Composer).
    • Mastery of DBT for versioning, documentation, and orchestration of transformations.
    • PRACTICAL experience in advanced SQL and data modeling for analytical environments.
    • Familiarity with Oracle Database and integration with on-premises systems.
    • Experience in PowerCenter (ETL/data integration).
    • Knowledge of data architectures focused on compliance, risk, and financial regulations.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD practices applied to data projects.
    Differentiators
    • GCP certifications (Data Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect or similar).
    • Experience in data migration projects from legacy environments to the cloud.
    • Knowledge of Python or Scala applied to data manipulation.
    • Familiarity with agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
    • Capacity to act as a technical reference in structuring data environments.
    • Strategic vision and focus on business results.
    • Good communication for interaction with technical and executive areas.
    • Proactivity and orientation towards innovation.
