Job description
The nursing professional will be integrated into the surgical area and emergency services of a healthcare facility. In the surgical field, their functions include the meticulous preparation of operating rooms, ensuring all instruments and materials are in sterile condition and ready for use. Likewise, they will actively participate in procedures as a scrub nurse or circulating nurse, providing necessary support to the anesthesia team and performing patient monitoring in the Post-Anesthesia Recovery Unit (PARU).
In the emergency service, the nurse will be responsible for performing initial triage, assessing the severity of each case to prioritize care. They will carry out initial emergency care, administer prescribed medication, and monitor patients' vital signs. A fundamental part of the role consists of accurate recording of all care provided in the digital medical record, as well as coordinated care management with the medical team to manage discharges and admissions. The position requires a high commitment to quality of care and patient safety, always working under established protocols. They will be part of a multidisciplinary team where communication and coordinated work are essential to offer comprehensive care. The environment is dynamic, demanding adaptability and effective problem-solving in situations that can be high-pressure.
