Energy Centre Operator

Description About the role We are on the lookout for an experienced Energy Centre Operator to join our utilities team and play a vital role in powering our facilities efficiently and sustainably. This position manages our day-to-day supply of energy, utility services and effluent treatment to enable raw milk to be processed. You will leverage on your expertise in operational processes and systems, combined with a proactive approach to ensure you are driving efficiency and productivity of the plant's operations. Key responsibilities include: • Managing the daily operation of the Energy Centre, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and that energy consumption is optimized. • Coordinating with other departments to ensure that energy supply meets the demands of our facilities. • Developing and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs. • Collaborating with maintenance teams to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and repaired. • Providing technical support to other departments as needed. • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards and policies. • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to drive sustainability and efficiency. • Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including suppliers, customers and internal teams. • Identifying and mitigating potential risks and hazards associated with the operation of the Energy Centre. • Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with our company's policies and procedures. • Participating in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills. • Performing other duties as required.
