Energy and Sustainability Manager (m/f/d)

Our Company:

We are looking for an Energy and Sustainability Manager (m/f/d) as soon as possible.

You will be responsible for the further development of energy and sustainability management. In this role, you will act as the Energy Management Representative, coordinate technical and organizational improvement measures, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Further development of energy and sustainability management as well as implementation of corresponding corporate goals
• Assumption of the role of Energy Management Representative and support of the energy management system according to ISO 50001
• Independent planning, coordination, and implementation of projects to increase energy efficiency and sustainability performance
• Creation and maintenance of sustainability reports as well as support of relevant sustainability ratings, particularly VSME and EcoVadis
• Monitoring of legal and regulatory requirements/ordinances in the areas of sustainability, environment, and energy management, as well as derivation of necessary measures
• Complementary support of quality management and advanced product quality planning (APQP) in development-related topics

Qualifications

• Completed university degree, for example in mechanical engineering, energy technology, environmental technology, industrial engineering, or a comparable field; alternatively, a technical or commercial apprenticeship with corresponding further training and relevant professional experience
• Experience in project management as well as a structured and independent way of working
• Professional experience in energy and/or sustainability management; knowledge of energy management according to ISO 50001 is advantageous. Ideally, you have experience as an Energy Management Representative or are willing to take on this role
• Interest in regulatory requirements and current developments in the fields of sustainability, environment, and energy
• Technical understanding of production facilities, operational processes, and technical optimization measures
• Knowledge of sustainability ratings and reporting systems (e.g., EcoVadis, VSME) is an advantage
• Analytical skills, strong communication skills, as well as very good German and good English language skills, both written and spoken
