Job description

We are partnered with a growing chemical manufacturer who are looking for an EMSR Engineer to join their chemical plant in Cologne. As an EMSR Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the reliable operation of our measurement, control, and electrical systems. You'll take ownership of maintenance, projects, and cybersecurity, using your expertise to help design the future of our technical infrastructure. What You'll Do Lead maintenance activities for measurement, control, and electrical systems. Implement and maintain safety systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Manage and execute projects, from initial planning to commissioning. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, minimizing downtime. Develop and implement cybersecurity measures to protect our systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in EMSR engineering within a chemical or process industry environment. Strong knowledge of measurement, control, and electrical systems. Experience with PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems. Understanding of relevant safety regulations and standards. Project management skills, including planning, execution, and control. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken. Bonus Points Experience with cybersecurity in an industrial environment. Experience with SAP.
