About the role
Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Employment Lawyer to join their nationally recognised team based in Auckland CBD with some flexibility to WFH. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer who enjoys sophisticated work, values collaboration, and wants to grow within a genuinely supportive environment.
You’ll be part of a high-performing employment law team advising major corporates, public sector bodies, and international organisations on complex, sensitive, and often high-profile matters across advisory, litigation, and transactional work. Working closely with highly regarded partners and senior practitioners, you’ll have the opportunity to shape your practice around your strengths while continuing to develop as a trusted advisor.
This is a diverse and well-established practice, with a strong client base and great opportunities to work for both local clients and global clients. To the future, international secondment opportunities are likely if you are interested in travelling. Right now however, this is a fantastic role that will get your employment career well on track whilst you enjoy working in an environment and culture that is itself market leading.

What we’re looking for
- A motivated team-oriented employment lawyer with at least 5 years’ top quality post-admission experience who holds or is entitled to hold a current NZ legal practising certificate
- Employment law experience with HSE experience ideally but not essential
- Excellent communication skills with a strong commitment to team culture and performance
- Practical and personable team player, with high level of client service and team player who enjoys mentoring junior lawyers
- You will be organised, capable and focused on getting the best outcome for your client
