Your responsibilities are to:
  • Oversee initial product allocations across all DTC sales channels (full-price, outlet, e-commerce) to align with commercial drop dates and store-level needs;
  • Ensure ongoing product availability, particularly for NOS (Never Out of Stock) items, in line with defined KPI targets;
  • Manage and optimize the replenishment process, focusing on directing inventory to the most profitable stores and channels to maximize sales and minimize markdowns;
  • Lead and coordinate product flow operations, ensuring efficient warehouse processing and timely outbound shipments, while considering store intake capacity;

A leading international fashion brand is looking for an EMEA DTC Trade Director to join its EMEA team.

As EMEA DTC Trade Director, you will lead commercial trade and allocation across various sales channels, ensuring effective planning and collaboration with local teams to drive brand success.

Your responsibilities are to:

  • Oversee initial product allocations across all DTC sales channels (full-price, outlet, e-commerce) to align with commercial drop dates and store-level needs;
  • Ensure ongoing product availability, particularly for NOS (Never Out of Stock) items, in line with defined KPI targets;
  • Manage and optimize the replenishment process, focusing on directing inventory to the most profitable stores and channels to maximize sales and minimize markdowns;
  • Lead and coordinate product flow operations, ensuring efficient warehouse processing and timely outbound shipments, while considering store intake capacity;
  • Align and manage markdowns and promotional strategies across regions, ensuring local needs are met within global guidelines;
  • Drive performance against key commercial KPIs (Sales, Traffic, ATV, UPT, Markdown, Margin) through close collaboration with finance, channel leads, hubs, and planning/buying teams;
  • Analyze and evaluate the impact of trading events (e.g. promotions, marketing campaigns, membership events) to inform and improve future commercial and planning decisions;
  • Act as a strategic partner across the business to ensure cross-functional alignment and support commercial success across the DTC business.

  • 10+ years of experience in merchandise planning, trade, allocation, branch planning, or commercial planning within the fashion, retail, or consumer goods sectors;
  • Deep expertise in merchandise planning, markdown and promotion management, and inventory optimization to drive both sales growth and profit margins;
  • A strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance short-term trading priorities with long-term strategic objectives;
  • Advanced analytical skills and a track record of data-driven decision-making, using insights to improve buying strategies and allocation efficiency;
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to collaborate across functions - including Finance, Buying, Planning, Marketing, VM, Supply Chain, and regional hubs;
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, especially in managing cross-functional teams or stakeholders across different regions or hub offices;
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal;
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Retail (preferred).
