Aufgaben

Your Tasks:

• Development of software for devices and implementation of innovative ideas and functions in close cooperation with hardware development

• Creation and further development of software architectures for embedded systems and platforms

• Development and maintenance of operating system images (e.g. Windows, Linux, and similar systems) for embedded devices

• Implementation of device drivers for various operating systems and hardware platforms

• Conceptualization and programming of firmware for microcontrollers

• Development of tools for validation, internal testing, and support for customer applications

• Creation of example applications and code examples to support integration and commissioning at the customer's site

• Software-side product maintenance and continuous optimization of existing software solutions

• Software-side customer support for complex implementation questions as well as analysis and troubleshooting of demanding error scenarios

Qualifikation

Your Profile:

• Completed university degree (Master or Dipl.-Ing. (FH) in Electrical Engineering, Technical Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a comparable field; alternatively a technical training with relevant professional experience

• Experience in hardware-related software development and implementation of development projects using modern project management methods

• Practice in software development with Assembler and C/C++

• Knowledge in the area of microprocessors (e.g. ARM architectures) and programmable logic

• Know-how in tool development with Python, Bash, or comparable scripting languages

• Experience in installing and configuring embedded operating systems (Linux, Windows, QNX)

• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style as well as high-quality awareness and hands-on mentality

• Teamwork skills and very good German and English language skills in writing and speaking
