Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/d)

Tasks

  • Development, design and hardware-related programming of embedded systems in C/C++ within the framework of structured development processes
  • Integration, testing and commissioning of prototypes and later samples on target hardware (e.g. MSP430, ARM Cortex)
  • Creation of test cases, automated tests and SW troubleshooting for new developments and existing products
  • Collaboration in risk analyses and implementation of functional safety requirements
  • Ensuring code quality and development documentation - internally and towards external certification bodies
  • Close cooperation with other software and hardware developers and use of common development and versioning tools (e.g. Git, Jira, CI/CD)

Qualification

  • Successfully completed studies in electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer engineering or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in embedded software development, ideally experience with ARM-based microcontrollers
  • Experience with development according to common software development processes (functional safety) from the requirements specification to design and testing (e.g. TESSY) to documentation
  • Practical experience in the commissioning of PCBs and assemblies, in troubleshooting and in the use of measuring instruments (e.g. oscilloscope and logic analyzer)
  • Systematic, analytical and independent working style as well as teamwork skills and confident communication in German and English
  • Ideally, knowledge of high-frequency technology, communications engineering or electromagnetic compatibility

  • Bare-metal development and Free RTOS
  • IAR Embedded Workbench, TI Code Composer Studio, GCC
  • Git, Jira / Confluence, CI/CD, TESSY
  • MS Office
