Your Tasks as Senior Embedded Software Engineer

• Development of firmware for ARM-based platforms (e.g. Nordic nRF, STM32) – from conception to series maturity

• Integration of communication stacks (DECT NR+, LTE-M/NB-IoT, CAN, Ethernet, PROFINET) for industrial applications

• Treiber- and hardware integration in close coordination with the hardware team

• Development on RTOS (e.g. Zephyr, FreeRTOS) or bare-metal, as well as embedded Linux services for gateways

• Ensuring code quality through reviews, CI/CD, and automated tests

• Building secure OTA update mechanisms for products in the field

• Collaboration on architecture decisions and mentoring junior developers

Your Profile

• At least 6-7 years of experience in embedded development with C (C++ is advantageous)

• Broad project background, ideally in multiple embedded environments

• Routine with Git, CMake/Make, Continuous Integration, and code reviews

• Experience with RTOS or bare-metal, good Linux fundamentals

• Fundamental knowledge of communication protocols (CAN/CAN FD, Ethernet, PROFINET) and bus/frame analysis

• Structured, reliable work style, as well as very good German and English skills

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with embedded Linux userland for gateways

• Scripting skills (Python, Bash) for tooling or testing

• Praxis in the field of wireless IoT/industrial technologies (DECT NR+, LTE-M/NB-IoT)
