Embedded Software Engineer (m/w/d) 100%

We are looking for an experienced and skilled individual as Embedded Software Engineer (m/w/d) 100% to strengthen our existing team.

Mit Your expertise, You will ensure the reliability and performance of electronic systems and firmware, contribute significantly to product quality, and enable an outstanding user experience for customers.

Your broad responsibilities include:

• Evaluating system requirements for Embedded applications (C/C++, real-time software)
• Co-designing a robust system architecture
• Developing central features and system-critical functions according to the Product Backlog
• Verifying, optimizing, and refactoring existing code; ensuring good code quality, unit tests, and documentation
• Close collaboration with the Hardware team on bringing up and integrating new components
• Performing interface validations, firmware integration tests, and debugging
• Supporting production: test scripts, in-line tests, and programming stations
• Collaboration with UI/UX, Backend, and Mobile App teams and external suppliers

Qualification

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field
• At least 5 years of experience in Embedded software development with C/C++
• Knowledge of Embedded Linux (Yocto) and RTOS (Zephyr)
• Experience with distributed Embedded systems with multiple microcontrollers and CAN Bus
• Bonus: Experience with wireless technologies like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GSM, or GPS
• Nice to have: Experience with Jira, Confluence, or analytics tools
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and team-oriented work
• Very good German language skills and fluent, negotiation-safe English
• Readiness to work on-site in the Bern area (high proportion of on-site work)
