Job description

Ideal Candidate

Embedded Software Engineer passionate about microcontrollers and firmware development.
It is important that the person be familiar with dedicated development environments and common tools used in embedded projects.

Ideal candidate:
  • Advanced competencies in C/C++ (structures, pointers, memory, registers, bitwise operations), with direct applicability to firmware development;
  • Demonstrable experience with microcontrollers (STM32, NXP, ESP32 etc.), gained in professional contexts;
  • Mastery of embedded development environments, including project configuration, peripheral code generation, and system clock management (ex.: STM32CubeIDE / CubeMX, NXP MCUXpresso, TI Code Composer Studio, ESP-IDF or similar tools for other ARM platforms);
  • Laborates efficiently with programming and diagnostic utilities used in embedded ecosystems (ex.: ST-Link Utility / STM32 Programmer, NXP LinkServer, TI UniFlash, Espressif Flash Tool or equivalents);
  • Knows configuring fundamental hardware components: system clock, GPIO, timers, serial peripherals (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN), ADC and other integrated modules of ARM microcontrollers;
  • Experience in using debugging tools specific to embedded development: JTAG/SWD, breakpoints, watch expressions, and analysis on real hardware (ex.: ST-Link, J-Link, XDS110, ESP-Prog).
In addition,
  • can work efficiently in a technical team, communicating clearly and assuming responsibilities in the project;
  • Lives in Timișoara and is willing to work on-site
Bonus:
  • Knowledge about FreeRTOS, Wi-Fi, BLE, MQTT.

The role involves developing and maintaining firmware for industrial controllers with TFT interfaces and IoT modules, working directly on hardware and integrating with multi-processor systems and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Firmware development for ARM microcontrollers (STM32, NXP, ESP32 etc.);
  • Configuring and using peripherals: GPIO, timers, ADC, I2C, SPI, UART, CAN;
  • Implementing and maintaining OTA (Over-The-Air) for firmware updates;
  • Firmware development for multi-processor communication (UART/RS485, SPI, CAN, proprietary protocols);
  • Debugging on real hardware (JTAG/SWD, logic analyzer, oscilloscope);
  • Integrating with IoT modules and cloud systems;
  • Optimizing and documenting code;
  • Testing and validating functionality.
