Embedded Software Engineer IoT & Connectivity (m/f/d)

Germany is recording new record registration numbers for electric vehicles as well as a rapidly increasing number of charging options. In this context, the German government has set itself very ambitious goals and aims to achieve 15 million registered electric vehicles and 1 million installed public charging points by the year 2030.
As a full-service provider for charging infrastructure, Wirelane is therefore operating in a very dynamic and rapidly growing market environment. We must manage the constantly increasing demand for and requirements of innovative charging solutions for electric vehicles.
For our rapidly growing team, we are looking for you as an Embedded Software Engineer IoT & Connectivity (m/f/d) to strengthen our team "Build It" at our company headquarters in Munich.
In this role, you will ensure that our charging infrastructure remains reliably connected. You will work at the interface of embedded software, IoT connectivity, and payment systems, contributing significantly to the stability and further development of our technical platform.

• You will develop and maintain our embedded software for routers, connectivity solutions, and payment terminals.
• You will be responsible for firmware updates and rollouts for our installed device fleet.
• You will ensure reliable communication between the charging station, router, and payment system.
• You will analyze and resolve technical faults in the areas of network, mobile communications, and VPN.
• You will develop solutions for monitoring, remote maintenance, and automation of our devices.
• You will work closely with hardware, software, and operations teams on the further development of our charging infrastructure.

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field of study
• Several years of experience in embedded software development
• Very good knowledge of Python as well as C or C++
• Experience with embedded systems and hardware-close software development
• Knowledge in the areas of IoT, cloud technologies, and connected devices
• Experience with firmware management and device fleets is an advantage
• Good knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, or HTTPS
• Experience with VPN technologies such as WireGuard, OpenVPN, or IPsec
• Knowledge in the area of LTE and 5G communication is an advantage
• Very good German skills as well as good English skills, both written and spoken
