Having integrated and flown 4 electric airplanes, the Swiss start-up has been selected by Pratt & Whitney Canada to provide the battery pack for its regional hybrid-electric flight demonstrator. This recent announcement is a further illustration of H55’s position as a major enabler in the electric commuter market.

About the role

In the frame of its product development (Electric Propulsion System and Modular Battery Pack), H55 is searching for a senior embedded software engineer.

Within a multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for the software development and verification, ensuring that the design implementation meets the required needs, safety and reliability objectives.

You will report directly to the Software Team Leader.

What you’ll do:

• Define and shape software architecture that balances real-time constraints, hardware integration, and long-term maintainability.
• Develop and review of software requirements, architecture, and code (C, C++, Python).
• Drive continuous integration & process automation with Jenkins.
• Ensure rigorous documentation and compliance across the full development lifecycle.
• Manage data and deliverables in line with DO-178C methodologies and configuration management standards.
• Maintain certification framework and lead project level discussion with certification authorities (EASA)

Your Profile

• Bachelor or Master degree in the relevant domain
• Sound experience in embedded software development in aerospace domain, verification background is a plus.
• Experience with following languages : C, C++, Python
• Demonstrated ability to follow through and bring projects to completion
• Target-oriented, with analytic problem-solving capabilities and communication skills
• Capacity to prioritize, manage time effectively and multi-task
• Fluency in English (oral and written), French an asset.

• Experience with AI-powered tools
• Experience in software verification: Rapita RVS, Polyspace
• Experience in continuous integration: Jenkins
• Experience in requirement management: CodeBeamer or other
• Experience with Model-Based Design (Mathworks)
