Embedded Software Developer - Freelance / Part-time / Freelance

We are an engineering office with a focus on Embedded Software.

Our focus lies on low-level programming, secure systems, algorithm development, power electronics, and data analysis.

If you are looking for structured code, precise work with hardware, and continuous development, you fit us.

We are not looking for a full-time employee, but rather someone in part-time, as a freelancer, or preferably as a part-time self-employed individual.

IMPORTANT: We do Embedded. So hardware-near. So with hardware. So it doesn't make sense if you can't be regularly in the office!

Tasks

• Development of Embedded software in C/C++ with a focus on robustness, performance, and maintainability.
• Implementation of Secure Bootloaders (STM32, TI, NRF) according to current security requirements (e.g. Cyber Resilience Act).
• Development of drivers and controls (PWM, ADC, CAN, ...) and further interfaces for applications in motor control and power electronics.
• Conducting code reviews, refactoring, and error analysis with consistent application of clean code principles.
• Testing and verification according to V-Model, supported by Python scripts and measurements with oscilloscope and other tools.
• Analysis of sensor data and development and optimization of evaluation algorithms.
• Creation of precise and comprehensible architecture and project documentation.

Qualification

• Completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent qualification.
• Fundamental knowledge in Embedded C/C++ and software and system architecture.
• Experience in hardware-near development and safe handling of data sheets.
• Knowledge in control engineering and power electronics is advantageous.
• Safe handling of Python and Linux, also for automating development tasks.
• Teamwork, self-initiative, and willingness to further professional development.
