Embedded Software Designer

The Challenge

We are looking for an Embedded Software Designer for our sister company Veynex in the Limburg / Brabant region, effective immediately. Do you find satisfaction in developing smart technical solutions and complex software issues? Then this role is for you.

As an Embedded Software Designer, you will work within multidisciplinary development environments on innovative projects with high quality standards. You will be involved in the entire development process: from requirements and architecture to implementation and testing. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and will have ample opportunity to further expand your technical knowledge.

What will you do?

As an Embedded Software Designer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and improving embedded software solutions. You will create technical architectures, develop software in C and/or C++, and test system functionality. Additionally, you will integrate various software modules and ensure clear documentation.

You will work on projects within Embedded Linux, RTOS, or OS-less environments and regularly liaise with colleagues from other disciplines.

Hard skills

• HBO or WO work and thinking level

• Completed degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent

• At least 5 years of experience in software development

• Experience with C++ and/or C

• Knowledge of Embedded Linux, RTOS, or OS-less systems

• Experience with Agile, TDD, OOAD, or similar methodologies

• Knowledge of communication buses such as SPI, UART, I2C, and CAN

• You reside in the region or are willing to travel within a radius of approximately 60 minutes.

• You speak and write excellent Dutch and English

Nice to have

• Experience coaching junior colleagues

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, or QT
