Tasks:

• Development of Embedded Firmware for microcontroller-based board controller solutions based on Zephyr OS - Close cooperation with the product teams to clarify requirements and align firmware functionality with product needs, as well as supporting integration throughout all development phases - Commissioning of new hardware platforms and development of board-specific firmware - Implementation of hardware initialization, power sequencing, monitoring, diagnosis, and control functions - Development of control functions for user and measurement interfaces, such as displays, buttons, encoders, switches, and signal path components - Integration of the firmware with host-side drivers, libraries, and tools under Windows and Linux - Analysis and debugging of hardware/software problems in close cooperation with hardware and system teams - Development of test, diagnosis, and service functions for development and production - Documentation of software architecture, interfaces, and board-specific implementations-

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with product teams and other cross-functional stakeholders - MUST-HAVE: Very good knowledge of C/C++ for embedded software development - Experience with Python for test automation and development tooling - Experience with CI/CD as well as automated build and test environments - Experience with Zephyr OS or comparable embedded RTOS platforms - Fundamentally understanding digital hardware, including schematic and layout reviews - MUST-HAVE: Experience in embedded firmware development, board bring-up, and hardware debugging - Familiarity with common interfaces such as I²C, SPI, UART, USB, ADC, GPIO, and PWM - Experience with bare-metal development, low-level debugging, and hardware/software integration - MUST-HAVE: Knowledge of Git, testing, code reviews, and software quality practices - Safe handling of laboratory equipment like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
