Electrical Engineer in Transformer Asset Management (m/w/d)
Full Time
Job description
I develop the strategy and principles for power transformers. This job is interesting to me because in this responsible position I am an Asset Manager*in for all power transformers in substation, offshore-, and DC facilities. Against the backdrop of the transformation of our energy systems through the expansion of renewable energies and the introduction of new DC technologies, I develop a clear strategy, target images, and technical principles or guidelines for my assets. Until now, I have been responsible for the entire asset portfolio, including the development of maintenance concepts, risk assessments, and investment decisions. My goal is to ensure that all transformers are operated safely and efficiently, taking into account the increasing complexity of our energy systems. This requires a deep understanding of the technical and commercial aspects of transformer operation and a strong ability to analyze complex data sets. In addition, I am responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as those related to safety, environmental protection, and grid stability. My work is characterized by a high degree of independence and self-organization, as well as the need to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including technical experts, project managers, and decision-makers. The ability to work in a team-oriented environment and to adapt quickly to changing requirements are also essential for this role.
