The electrotechnician profession values your skills in the industry to ensure the maintenance of equipment and installations within the buildings of the Air and Space Army. The job of electrotechnician requires a good level of knowledge of energy systems and networks to perform technical interventions in complete safety. Whether you have or have not a formation in this field, electrical engineering opens the doors to a professional career with varied missions.
A salary equal between man and woman at the same post and hierarchical level.

The training in the electrotechnician profession takes place in two stages:
- 15 weeks of learning military basics at the École de Formation des Sous-Officiers de l'armée de l'Air et de l'Espace (EFSOAAE) located in Rochefort;
- 4 months of initial professional training (FPI), composed of practical and theoretical courses in all areas of building (masonry, plumbing, carpentry, electricity). You will learn safety standards, without forgetting the maintenance of your physical condition.
You will follow a paid training:
After having passed the entry tests, you are fully integrated into the ranks of the Air and Space Army. As such, you benefit from your full salary during the entire duration of the training until the required certifications are obtained to start your job as a radar technician analyst.
As a team leader, your electrotechnician job includes the following missions:
- Perform maintenance on mobile or fixed electrical installations and airfield lighting;
- Organize water treatment operations;
- Ensure compliance with electrical standards;
- Troubleshoot refrigeration installations such as air conditioning;
- Participate in building renovation and rehabilitation, with the creation of low-voltage electrical lines;
- Manage your team's schedules.
