Tō tūranga hou | Your new role
As an Electronics Components Engineer, you'll be responsible for supporting the ongoing maintenance, improvement, and life cycle management of the fire detection and alarm products. The role focusses on component obsolescence management, electronic component substitutions, product sustainment activities, and minor design enhancements to ensure products remain reliable, manufacturable, compliant, and commercially viable.

Working within the Research & Development team, the Electronics Components Engineer will collaborate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Product Engineering teams to implement engineering changes, resolve technical issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the product life cycle.

Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Electronic Engineering) or equivalent qualification.Minimum 3–5 years' experience in electronics engineering, product development, or sustaining engineering.Experience interpreting and modifying electronic circuit designs.Experience with electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analysers, multimeters, and power supplies.Experience managing component substitutions and obsolescence issues.Strong understanding of analogue and digital electronics.Experience preparing and maintaining engineering documentation
