Electronic Maintenance Engineer

Who will you work with?

Our maintenance team serves the Wabtec manufacturing plant, where we make traction motors for trains and other products. Therefore, you will be in contact with all departments such as production, manufacturing, quality, finance, security.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring proper maintenance, guidance, and execution of everything related to critical machines.

You report directly to the maintenance manager

You are in charge of maintenance technicians

You may lead various projects that require critical thinking, focus on results, cost savings, continuous improvement, budgets, among others.

What do we want to know about you?

• Electrical Engineer or equivalent
• Mandatory 5 years of experience in related fields
• Knowledge of programming with control or robotics (repair)
• Knowledge of CNC machines, soldering equipment, presses, ovens, winches, etc.
• Development of programs in CAM and CAD
• Experience in Maintenance Administration (TPM, Corrective, Preventive, Predictive, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic Maintenance)
• Knowledge of computer packages such as Office.
• English 85% (desirable)
• Knowledge of open-loop and closed-loop servo mechanisms.
• Reading and interpretation of drawings, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic.

What will your typical day be like?

• Daily attention to equipment failures in your assigned area.
• Ledger, follow-up, analysis, and solution of equipment failures.
• Lead technical personnel in resolving equipment failures.
• FOLLOW-UP AND CLOSURE OF CORRECTIVE ACTIONS TO PREVENT EQUIPMENT FAILURES.
• Participation in research and actions to implement for defect reduction by machine.
• Closing orders generated daily on the equipment under your charge, in the MAXIMO system.
• Preparation of a daily operations report based on MAXIMO.
• Generation and updating of metric graphs in your area of responsibility.
• Control of budget assigned to your area of responsibility.
• Development of projects for Risk Reduction and Cycle Time
• Compliance with the MP plan at 80%
• Daily Gemba production assistance
• Taking personal responsibility for your own safety and that of others as a condition for employment.
• Informing management immediately about events, concerns related to EHS and non-compliances, and when possible, proactively correcting conditions and behaviors at the workplace that may harm people or the environment.
• Ensuring you have the knowledge, tools, and processes necessary to perform assigned tasks safely.
• FOLLOWING ALL WABTEC PROCEDURES AND STANDARDS THAT PROTECT PERSONS AND THE ENVIRONMENT.
• Participating in the EHS program at the site and contributing to the continuous improvement of the WMS-EHS at Wabtec.

What about physical demands of the job?

The base position is in the Apodaca N.L, metal-mechanical company plant.

You will refer to operational personnel, technical staff, and work on machines at production lines in the plant.
